Improving Godly Abilities
Hellow! I don’t know if this has been mentioned before, but it would be nice if a demigod’s powers evolved based on their rank. By that I mean the limit on how much of that power they can use would be higher. I suppose doing this for every level and every divine parent would take too much time and make the guide extremely long. So the solution could be to unlock limits after the demigod graduates? This would make progression fairly realistic in-game: our character naturally has powers, but through training at camp, they reach a certain level of mastery. Example for a child of Dionysus: At age 8: Levitation up to 20 feet (current limit) After graduation: Levitation up to 40 feet (after 7 years at camp) That's it- just a random idea that I think would be cool. For those who want to develop their characters through the years and enjoy using their powers in topics.
Allow us to take lessons from new instructors despite even if we have already completed the previous one
Instructors come and go when it comes to WoX in general, whenever it comes to real-life or other situations. This allows for a flow of new instructors to bring their own special ideas and creative writing to the site and to their lessons. It’s a joy to be a new student, opening up the lesson for the first time, to find coursework that is written with care. However, for some students who are higher years and have already done the lesson from the previous teacher, they have to either made a new character, or simply accept that they cannot do the lesson, because you can only do one W1Y1 ever on your account. It’s rough for people who get attached to their characters, like I do. If I see an assignment I like, but I have already completed the class because of another instructor, I am unable to take the class. And that sucks D: I don’t want to make a new account to write homework with a camper that I am not invested or attached to. There are certain things that make my character special and lets them resonate more with the assignment than another I made on a whim for a specific course. As a member of WoX for almost a decade, I am more academically-driven on the site than roleplay-focused. I love doing homework, and I love grading, and most importantly I love character-building through the lessons I take. I don’t like the idea of having to abandon an account due to the fact that there are no more classes to take. So here is what I am suggesting: - Students should be allowed to take a class on a replaced lesson that they have already completed and submit it. (Ex: You have taken Y4W5 written by Instructor A, but you also are able to take Y4W5 written by Instructor B after the old one is replaced) - This would overwrite the previous lesson submission (what you view when you open up the lesson), and if you don’t copy and keep the lesson that is going to be replaced, that is on you. - The first grade (Godly, Divine, etc) will be archived next to the second assignment’s new grade as a small letter, so that a student cannot do-over a bad grade if they have failed to achieve Okay or better on all their 1st - 5th year assignments for the status, as this would be unfair to those who have already gotten the status reward. - This mechanic already somewhat exists, as you are able to take exams you have already passed over again in the next year, even if they got replaced by another Instructor Explaining it clearer: - Student as a 1st year takes course in IG Y4 of the site for the Y1W1 lesson. - They write the homework and get a Godly. - Student’s best friend becomes an Instructor in Y5. - New Instructor writes a new Y1W1 lesson. - Student, now a 3rd year, wants to take their friends Y1W1 lesson but they cannot, because they took it for the Old Instructor. With the new feature: - Student is able to take their friend’s lesson without having to make a new account. - The lesson on the page, when submitted has a white G next to the new assignment submitted, showing that they got a Godly on the first assignment. - The old assignment submission for the Old Instructor’s lesson is deleted upon submitting the new assignment. It is up to the student to make sure they save this homework submission as well as the previous gradings through copy paste or screenshot. - When the new assignment is graded, the same number of points and drachma are given as they would be from an ordinary grade - The old assignment’s gradings in Your Homework disappear, but the lesson name now has a white G next to the title, showing that they had gotten a Godly originally on the first lesson for W1Y1
Relations
Hello, I think it would be very good that even us who don’t have VIP can create relations. I really want to create a relation with some person, but I can’t.
Pinning Multiple Wall Posts
Besides a default wallpost, I think it would be super helpful if we could pin at least a second post on our walls. That way, if there is another fun wall post from a friend that we would also like to pin, we can display that too without having the default wallpost replaced.
Topic Response Saving
I don’t know if this has been mentioned or not, but I think it could be really helpful if topic response drafts can be saved like homework. Especially for longer topic responses that may take a long time to finish drafting, it could be helpful if users can save their unfinished drafts and come back to finish it another time. It would be more convenient than writing the topic in a separate doc.
Homework Gradings
Hey guys! Soooo I have been thinking. I write homeworks with more than just one character and then I can’t continue grading (which I only do on one), because there’s my homework! Is there any possibility to change this? Maybe just for linked characters or something? It really sucks sometimes :((
Mythomagic Cards
Can we maybe get a button that allows us to open cards like ten at a time ? I got 50 cards (It took me 15 mins to open them)and had to open them all indivigually and this time there is 75 which is going to prolly take about 30 to 45 mins to check open them all.
Being able to remove the sorting message in tchat
This will be self-explanatory with the screenshot below: Troll users can choose trigger usernames and even though they can be banned, for leaders to be able to remove such message from the tchat would be quite useful
Lock topics in own Clubs
Hello, hello! I just realised that it’s not possible for the cherries, to lock their own topics in their Club. It would make working with Forums etc easier, if we didn’t have to ask the yellows, site managers or prefects.
Mythomagic card trading
So for mythomagic cards, maybe we can have a trading system where you also can deny or accept the card?
Being able to follow all topics when entering a club
Title is explicit but when entering a club having a button allowing to follow all topics - the way it’s being handled right now isn’t the best - by clicking on topics you go to the page of followed topics, and they you have to go back to the club, category and do it all again, for EACH topic.
The Grad Staff predicament
So us Grad Staff are no longer allowed to be in first place (on said account) nor do the Sphinx Trials. Switching from alt to main can be very difficult. Is there anyway that maybe staff is allowed to have 1 linked account? It would make it easier than shifting from account to account and struggling.
Some Recommendations
Recently I sent out a form to my cluster on WoO about feedback for general cluster things. Someone mentioned the points system for topics being a bit discouraging. They mentioned that having higher points to get after writing 300 words would be nice for those who like to write a bit more. It just seems a bit unfair that someone who writes 1k words gets the same amount of points as someone who writes 300. It’d just be nice for the max for points received per word would just be a higher number because many do prefer to write more. There are some locations that I’ve noticed that don’t earn points for topicing— like the library for example. I don’t know if that’s intentional, but people who put effort into topicing there don’t earn points. Another cool feature would be the ability to see past profile pictures, backstories, profile texts, etc. Maybe to use an old one or just to take a trip down memory lane. I think for PT and BS it’d be nice to be able to save different versions of each. So if you run out of VIP, for example, you can switch to your non coded version without losing your code for when you get VIP again. It would be nice if comments on topic responses could notify everyone who’s replied. For example, if your boss is commenting on your work report and you reply, they won’t be notified you did so. It would just make things simpler.
Liking Comment
Interactions on our walls are pretty common and often the most suitable reply to someone seems to be liking their comment. So it would be awesome if we get a notification when someone likes our comment so that we know that we’re not ghosted!
A way to wiev the wallpost before its posted?
I know it's probably not something that can be done, but the thought of being able to see how the wall post will look with the codes applied before posting it is really appealing. Right now, I have to delete and repost every time I notice the spacing is off, and I keep doing it repeatedly. CodePen and similar tools don’t help much, since they don’t quite match how it actually looks on the page.
Stautues
Just an Idea, But I think sites that have sister sites, Like WoO, you should be able to pay a small fee to transfer your status from one site to the sister site, the reason I believe this would be good is because sometimes people leave a site for a number of reasons, but imagine if they had worked hard to earn a status or brought one. Sometimes people move over to sister sites because of things like Timezones. My Idea is, charge a small fee I.e 10 Euros, and if you Purchese it, you would lose your status on the original site and it would be transfers to the sister site. Of course this would only apply to statuses that aren’t limited. an Example would be on WoO US I’m a Hunter of Artemis, now that a EU site has opened up it’s better for me to be on that site since I’m based in the UK, so by paying 10 Euros I would be able to transfer that status to my EU Account losing it on the US site.
PFP Boxes & More
Even when pictures are at a 1:1 ratio, people who don’t have VIP end up having a gray ½ box on the inside of the black border, but outside of PFP (hard to explain, but if you see it, you know). It’s basically a little gray gap. It’s always bothered me and made me a bit sad. Speaking of PFPs, this was mentioned a few years ago, but the ability to see an archive of past profile pictures would be so cool. Maybe being able to change it from the archive pictures could be a thing to. Another thing would be the disappearance of chronicle and PT codes after the end of VIP. I am a frequent buyer of VIP on my current account, but there are some times where I am unable to purchase it for a few weeks in between the next purchase. It just makes me feel like the money that I’m giving the site isn’t appreciated (don’t get me wrong, I love the site and all the people in it). All the work I put into making my codes from scratch end up being for nothing the moment I can’t pay for VIP. This also makes me sad. As for statuses (which were mentioned in the article), I feel like if the price were cheaper, I would buy one. I love this site, but $100-$200 is unreasonable because I work part-time. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t find a proper justification to spend that much money just to role play an ability that I could do elsewhere. Sorry for writing so much. I love you guys!
Collapse animal-notifications
Would it be possible to collapse animal notifications to one notification? Maybe as a VIP? I really do like to know that someone has pet my animals… But with 17 animals, it’s a lot of notifications but I don’t like to turn it of, why I do wish to get a thing between those two. If it isn’t possible a notification when they’re hungry would be a great solution. I hope you will consider it.
