RP points
Some people only write the bare minimum to get a good amount of points and maybe we should consider changing the mimimum of the word count for certain points.
A good post is at least 300 words (in my opinion) and you get seven points for that, which is the highest you can receive for a roleplay. How about changing things up a bit? For example:
min. 250 words = 5 points
min. 300 words = 6 points
min. 400 words = 7 points
And then we could even go higher with the points, so you can receive the same amount you would get for a homework.
min. 500 words = 8 points
min. 600 words = 9 points
min. 750 words = 10 points
That’s just an example, but I really think that a change would let all of us profit in terms of fairness.

I agree that the points can go a little higher than they currently do! However, I think on some sites (eg. WoP DK) where topics tend to be made up of a lot of faster, shorter replies, limiting the amount of points they earn seems a bit unfair
Maybe if you got more points for even longer responses, but you still get fewer points for <250 word replies?

this would be great! maybe we could implement like a division system? like points equals words/100 or something, similar to interest? as somebody who has had topics reach 5000 word responses, it really is a little disheartening when its the same amount as a 300 word response

As someone who very rarely has less than 1200-word responses, this would be amazing, no matter if it is like this or some of the suggestions others have made. While I am grateful for the point I do get, I would always want more, especially because there is a big difference in the effort it takes to get 300 vs 1k+.
I think this could also encourage some people to topic more, as I have been told a fair few times that people pick other activities (mostly homework grading) instead because the time per point is so different. With the current system, for people to even stand a chance to be top of the leaderboard, they have to be grading a lot. One of my characters had 25 topics in the last in-game year, and had I not also been grading 60+ homeworks, I would not have even been top 15 for my house. Now granted, my house is often very productive in the points department, but I can’t help but wonder how many people don’t even bother to try entering the race when the difference is so big.

I don’t think this would work on all sites, but I get what you are saying. Some people have a hard time coming up with an answer to a topic, and is really happy if they earn 5 points for their answer, so it would kind of kill their motivation if you had to write so many words for every answer just to get decent point <3

Currently it’s 5 points for 150 words, and you get points for 300 words too, I don’t remember how many but I believe 6 or 7?
As someone who don’t write ultra long posts I would definitely like to keep the tiers as they are right now. This is also how I believe a lot of other WoP DK users would prefer it, as posts are often around the 50-150 words (especially for the more everyday topics).
That said I wouldn’t mind also adding points for higher tiers, but imo it should build upon our current system instead of lowering/removing the points that are already set in place.
