level restriction for writing homeworks

Most features on the site come with level requirements. You can only correct homework from level 3, you can only start an RPG (which is surprising on an RPG site) from level 5, and even the italics function in chat stays locked until level 10.

Homework submissions, however, are available immediately at level 1.

Where do I see the issue? We often have new users who register, submit several year-1 homework right away (sometimes before they’ve even settled in) and then disappear again just as quickly. It’s a pity, and it creates extra work for the teachers in those subjects.

Unfortunately, these homeworks turn out to be relatively bad. Even if new users remain active, they get 10 bad homework feedbacks, which can also be very demotivating for them to stay!

Some users don't read anything at all at the beginning: neither the rules nor the tasks, but simply start writing.

That’s why I would kindly suggest aligning the homework feature with the rest of the site’s level structure. Allowing homework submissions from level 3, for example, would give new users a bit of time to explore the site, get to know the rules, and understand how things work before they start writing and submitting homeworks.
