Display the last topics to be made

World of PotterFeature request

Something on the front page, on the side where the little boxes are, that says “last 5 topics” or similar, and then lists the last 5 topics created so you can go there for stalkies. Could also do “last 5 topics responded to” or something along those lines.

This could be really good for things like topic of the year, because throughout the year people can read through and follow things, rather than having to search through the entire map

I would say that this could be ratified by having the nominees for topics posted on the front page as hyperlinks during the nomination process.

However, on a daily basis, I think that it would be more appropriate not to display them at all.

I mean, it’s a good idea, but some writers are very self-conscious and while they may be fine with their stuff in the forums, they’d rather not have it broadcasted over the front page of the site. I have written some 5X topics, that, while they still comply with the rules, would not be appropriate being displayed or suggested on the front page on a 13+ site. Also, they may be private in nature and pre-plotted and not looking for exposure.

Writing comes from the heart, and I think that you should get people’s permission before displaying their writing for all to see.
