Achievements for comments

World of Potter

There are achievements for posts, topics, riddles etc., which shows the support in the site. It would also be nice to have achievements for comments, as it would engage more users in commenting and supporting the papers and blogs on site :D

I honestly feel this could be abused, if people started spamming comments on articles and things like that to get the achievement. Interesting idea, though.

This is definitely a concern, yeah D: though I suppose this is also true for things like wallposts, topics replies and homework too. Comments are a little easier to delete or mitigate the impact than those!

I fully get your concern, however if you look at the positive things, the achievement will give the sites such as getting more interaction on blogs and articles, the pros cancels out the cons.
As Clarence says, you can also spam wallposts, topic replies etc. - but what’s the fun in that :D

I completely agree :D this would motivate people to comment more on articles, while also attracting people to the articles’ incredible content! Pretty much a win-win! Plus, new achievements are always a lot of fun :P
